One of our cousins is a tarot card reader and when she heard of Kona’s passing, she sent us this.
I drew a medicine card to see what Kona wants to tell you:
Porcupine – Innocence.
He is playing happily with sticks and getting others to lighten up with his joyous attitude. He wants you to play again.
The reading brought a little comfort, Kona’s favourite activity was to grab a stick in his mouth and dare you to chase him. He would hop around on all fours, growl or give you a hip check as he went past. He could play for hours, and once in a while he would find the right dog that wanted to simply chase vs try to wrestle the stick away.
“In choosing the Porcupine card, you have given yourself a gentle reminder not to get caught in the chaos of the adult world where fear, greed, and suffering are commonplace. The medicine in this card is that of relief from seriousness and severity. Open your heart to those things that gave you joy as a child. Remember the preciousness of fantasy and imagination, and the making of some game or toy from nothing but scraps. Honor the playfulness of spirit that lets everyone win.”
