In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Wall.”
While in Asheville, NC we came across a great ‘public art’ display. On the main street a building was under construction and the fencing in front was plywood. The artist posted a question on the wall and left chalk for people to write their replies.
The question was “Before I die I want to _________”
We found small patches and wrote our respective replies, Kona was of course with us not amused that we had to stop our stroll.
Looking back at how many times during our cancer battle I’ve emotionally hit ‘the wall’, it was serendipitous to have found a metaphor to project my hopes upon and in a strange way conquer. I never would have thought something so simple could bring such great chi.
